CDs are not difficult to clean at all. A soft cloth that is lint-free will do. From the center to the outside begin to wipe in a straight line. This will remove any dirt or dust on the disc.
If by any chance you happen to spill something like lets orange juice on the CD then you can do the same thing as if you were cleaning it normally but use a little bit of weak soapy water to do so. Then very carefully rinse off the CD and pat it dry with a soft cloth. Do not stroke it dry the way you clean it. There may have been a chance that the CD might have water in the actual disc sandwich. Although if you put it in your CD player for about ten or fifteen minutes, the moisture that was in there should get spun out. You should not damage your CD player if you have already patted down the Cd before you placed it inside the player.
Cd cleaning machines are not always the best way to clean your CDs. The reason is because they tend to clean in a circular motion instead of cleaning them the right way. When cleaned the right way always place the CDs back into the CD case or CD wallet. Not only after being cleaned but to make sure they stay clean, after you used the CD do so as well. Stop being lazy and leaving your CDs out after you have used them in a mix or just to listen to them. It only takes a moment that can save you time and money in cleaning or buying new music.
